It appears that Starrett is unaware that you already have a deputy administrator. Hogue occupies the position that Vesper held. That position was created as a Deputy County Administrator, your website even says that now. The County does not need more administration. The administrative overhead has exploded since the Administrator position was created. If Huffer can't do the job then maybe a new County Administrator is needed - don't hire more very highly paid people! FYI, looking at counties larger than ours, you have to go up to Washington County before you find a Deputy County Administrator. Washington County is 4 - 5 times larger than Yamhill County.
