All schools in Yamhill County should have the same plan. The same protocol and the same way to relay information. Realizing that not all incidences can be covered, there should be a consistent method of handling situations and sending out information. Recent events in Amity led parents feeling helpless too. While schools train for events, schools leave parents out of the communication circle of how to handle such events finding out by word of mouth. In the age of communication, sadly we don't use it. Solving problems after the fact leave communities helpless and our children at risk. Asking parents to trust and rely on a system that has so many holes in it.
