isn't propaganda from fascism so great?
How they create a movement.
Please remember the process below is not only for movements of fascism, but other movements as well, nor is the person leading the cause only a malignant narcissist.
Mass hysteria is defined as an outbreak of unusual and uncharacteristic behaviors, thoughts, and feelings, or health symptoms shared among a group of people.
Mass hysteria is usually caused by acute anxiety, and the rapid spread is by visual contact.
A malignant narcissist is good at exploiting others’ weakness in order to get them to act on fears through manipulation, lies and propaganda.
One important note at this point. In groups tend to minimize, why out groups tend to be magnified, So, if it’s a position you are for, you will tend to think or say things like “It wasn’t that bad”, the opposite is true for things you are against “It’s the worst it’s ever been”.
Motivated reasoning is a cognitive and social response, in which individuals, consciously or unconsciously, allow emotion loaded motivational biases to affect how new information is perceived.
This makes it difficult for people to step back into some form of cognitive indifference. It tends to make things personal on an emotional level instead of rational and wise minded.
At this point, things tend to be put into black and white categories with tunnel vision, leading to a screening process of information coming in and information coming out.
In a sense, this becomes the reality of it. “True ignorance is not the absence of knowledge, but the refusal to acquire it.”

continued.........
At this point the only thing being fed is everything you want to hear, anything other, tends to either be discredited without verification or used in a magnified view on just how bad the other side really is, leading to reinforcement and acceptance of the emotions and irrational thoughts (Cognitive distortions), you are not verifying what is true or not, instead you are only verifying what you want to hear or not. “Filtering”. This creates extremism.
Once you have established extremism, you have now transformed to the elimination of any cognitive dissonance. At this point, violence is likely beginning to happen.
It's a progression, the one common theme is “Victim hood” throughout the whole process.
