Wheatland Ferry reopens

WHEATLAND - The Wheatland Ferry has reopened after ice and electrical problems forced its closure, according to the Marion County Public Works Department.

The ferry reopened last Thursday after being closed for several days due to high water. But it closed Sunday after snow fell and ice built up on the ferry and ramp.

The ferry normally operates from 5:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. daily, carrying vehicles and passengers across the Willamette River between Yamhil and Marion counties.
