Davidson entered state custody on April 15, 2014, on five convictions for identity theft from Yamhill County, along with a conviction for second-degree burglary from Yamhill County and convictions for first-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mistreatment from Marion County. Her projected release date was April 7, 2019.

Whitaker entered state custody on April 2, 2015, on one conviction each for first-degree failure to appear and delivery of a controlled substance/heroin, both from Marion County. She had a projected release date of Jan. 27, 2017.

The Central Distributing Center houses the department’s main supply warehouse, its commissary operation and many of its staff offices.

Davidson and Whitaker were working in the commissary when they left on foot about 8:30 a.m. Corrections Department staffers chased them and held them for police.

The two are slated for return to the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville. The department is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
