McMinnville resident reports robbery

A resident of the Tice Park Apartments, 2965 N.E. Evans St., was robbed at gunpoint about 3:30 a.m. Thursday of a cell phone and undetermined amount of cash.

He told McMinnville police he was confronted by a pair of Latino men, one brandishing a firearm. After robbing him, they fled south on foot, he said.

He described them as Spanish-speakers in their early 20s. He said one of them was wearing a gray sweatshirt.

With the help of the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office, a perimeter was established and a search of the area was conducted with the aid of police dog.
