Sheridan man missing in Tillamook County
TILLAMOOK - The Oregon State Police is continuing its investigation into a missing Sheridan man whose vehicle was located at Cape Lookout State Park, south of Tillamook.
He was identified as 49-year-old James Shook.
Troopers responded about 1 p.m.on Tuesday to a report of an abandoned vehicle located at the park which is a day use area. Shook was last seen Wednesday, May 13 in Lincoln City, according to OSP.
Shook has a history of mental illness, had recently been working in Depoe Bay and residing in Sheridan.
The vehicle, a 1999 Chevy Venture van, was removed from the scene and Tillamook County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue conducted a search of the immediate area.
