Barbara Ayala - 1928-2018
Barbara Ayala was born in 1928 to Floyd and Vernie Sanderson in Lisbon, North Dakota. After receiving her teaching degree in North Dakota, she taught elementary school in North Dakota, Rawlins, Wyoming, and McMinnville, Oregon.
She married Peter Ayala on July 7, 1955. They resided in Rawlins until June of 1967, when they moved to McMinnville. They had three daughters, Carolyn (Ken) Fritts, Susan (Mike) Morch and Janet (Dean) Ayala-Simmons. Barbara is also survived by nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Peter died on October 12, 2004.
At her request, there will be no public services. Barbara was a lifelong reader and, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to purchase a book in her memory for the McMinnville Public Library. To leave condolences, visit www.macyandson.com.
