Mac Parks and Rec hosts adult coed sports
Get active this fall! Registration is open for Coed Volleyball and Coed Soccer (5-on-5).
Both leagues are open to adults over 18. Volleyball games are played at Duniway Middle School on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Soccer games are played at Joe Dancer Park on Sunday afternoons.

Registration deadlines are Sept. 5 for coed soccer and Sept. 9 for coed volleyball.

Kindergarten through 6th-grade soccer players can register now for the McMinnville Parks and Recreation department’s fall soccer season.
Separate boys’ and girls’ leagues will be set up by grade. The fall season runs from Saturday, Sept. 19 to Saturday, Nov. 7. Games are played at Joe Dancer Park in McMinnville.
Kindergarten and first-graders will play 4-on-4, and 2nd- through 6th-graders will play 6-on-6. No preschool players. Registration deadline is Saturday, Aug. 29. Amity, Sheridan square off in fundraiser
Amity High School’s softball team and Sheridan High School’s boys basketball program will host the Inaugural Amity vs. Sheridan Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Bayou Golf Course in McMinnville.
Play starts at 9 a.m. with a nine hole, two person scramble format and three divisions: Men, women and Co-Ed. An additional overall score will be tallied for each city; participants do not need to be residents of either Amity or Sheridan.
Registration is $35 and includes a barbecue lunch following the tournament.

Mac Parks and Rec hosts clinic/cleat swap
McMinnville Parks and Recreation will host a free soccer clinic and cleat swap Saturday, Sept. 12, at Joe Dancer Park.
Those with old cleats to exchange can drop them off at the McMinnville Community Center, and those in need of new cleats can pick up a pair starting at 11:30 a.m., on Sept. 12., with the clinic starting at noon. New cleats for those without a pair to exchange are $5.

Local rugby clubs holding registration
Registration for the West Valley Panthers Rugby Club’s fall sevens for high school boys and girls is now open.
