Any concern about structural damage to existing homes?

David S. Wall

The 'blasting' of resident's in their homes, the extermination of cherished Oregon White Oak Trees and the accursed ensuing residential development is a direct and proximate cause of [HB 4134 (2024)].

The "Stop Work Permit" should have been applied to the entire project as an appropriate punishment to avenge the deaths of the cherished Oregon White Oak Trees. Employment Termination(s) of McMinnville City Management Employee(s) responsible for this project should have been immediate and for just cause.

Hoisting a "Tree Fee" on future residents as a condition to allow the project to go forward is a callous, reckless and unconscionable example of administrative and political misconduct.

Without [HB 4134 (2024)] there would not have been a State Grant of [$2 Million dollars with egregious codified obligations the News Register miserably failed to report] to fund a water-pumping station to service the residential development.

Every Oregonian had to pay a portion of our taxes to support the 'Grant' but only McMinnvilleans will be further squeezed, to pay for the aforementioned 'egregious codified obligations' for a period of "Ten years."

After the "Ten years", the costs to McMinnville's government functions will rise significantly.

Wave your saddened goodbyes to rural, ambient peace and quiet in McMinnville.
