Sad that the BOC would approve 146 K to SERA architects. The county was able to purchase two of the most beautiful buildings in the city and probably the county. Now that they have the buildings try saving some money for once. OMI was a top-of-the-line insurance provider with plenty of IT and server space. already in place.Plenty employee space, etc. One would think between building and planning, the tax department and appraisers could make the move on their own. I’m sure all the department heads have toured the building multiple times and could’ve gave their recommendations on space needed. They make programs for that. A year to move is a ridiculous amount of time. It’s not like they’re moving across the state. Hire some heavy lifters from time to time and spend the money wisely instead of handing it out to SERA. If there’s approximately 200 employees, somebody or one of the departments should be qualified to help Ken with this process.
