Amity teen killed in crash on Amity Road

AMITY -- An Amity woman, Ariel Dawn Dumler, 19, was killed Thursday morning when her 1999 Toyota Camry left Amity Road near Burch Hill Road and went down an embankment, hitting a tree.

Amity Road was closed for several hours following the 10:20 a.m. crash..

Dumler graduated in 2013 from Amity High School. She was a star athlete, excelling in volleyball, basketball and softball. She won an Amity Education Foundation Scholarship upon gradution.

Amity Fire District and McMinnville Fire Department personnel, in addition to Yamhill County sheriff's deputies and the Oregon State Police, were dispatched.

The OSP is in charge of the investigation and gave this account:

Dumler was driving eastbound on Amity Road  and lost control when she came to a slight left curve. Her Camry ended up on its top.

A nearby resident heard the crash and called 911. Emergency responders discovered Dumler dead when they arrived at the scene.

She was wearing a seat belt.



So Sad...I wish her parents and loved ones peace. What a tragedy!!
