Keep up with learning during school closure

During the extended spring break, McMinnville School District suggests students get plenty of exercise and sleep, stay clean and eat a nutritious diet.

By grade level, teachers suggest:

* Pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first-grade: parents and children should read together for at least 30 minutes a day and play games that use math.

* Second- through fifth-grade: daily reading of at least 30 minutes, completing several iReady math lessons each week, review students’ Clever educational website for activities used in school.

* Middle school: 60 minutes daily reading, Clever review, iReady math lessons.

* High school: 60 minutes daily reading, Clever review, making Pathway choices or practicing for SATs, and using educational apps such as Big Ideas Math or Duolingo.
