Highway 47 blocked by wreck north of Yamhill

YAMHILL -- Highway 47 at Stiller's Mill Road, just north of Yamhill, has been blocked since 10:45 a.m. due to a serious crash. Traffic is moving with flaggers.

A Life Flight helicopter landed to pick up a man who was trapped in a truck that ran into a tree. Firefighters extricated him from his vehicle before he was flown to Oregon Health & Sciences University Hospital in Portland.

Callers said the crash happened about 10:45 a.m.

Gaston and Carlton emergency vehicles were called to the scene along with Yamhill equipment.
