A red Honda with dealer plates in the back window led officers from several agencies southbound at high speeds from the Yamhill area into McMinnville. The driver drove south in the northbound lanes of Baker Street, then took Third Street east, striking another vehicle at Third and Kirby before stopping.

Officers are seeking the driver and passenger who fled from the car after it stopped in the area of Fifth and Newby streets, near the old Cook Elementary School.

The driver is described as a white male in his 20s. The passenger is described as a white female.

The chase started just after 12:30 p.m. and continued at speeds of 60 to 85 mph on Moore's Valley Road and Westside Road before entering McMinnville on Baker. Officers deployed spike strips in an effort to stop the car. Although the tires were punctured, the car continued through town for several minutes
