YC School Board to meet

YAMHILL - Yamhill-Carlton School Board members will discuss progress on communication about the upcoming bond measure when they meet Monday, April 11. The public session will start at 7 p.m. in the district office, 120 N. Larch Place, next to Yamhill-Carlton Intermediate School.

A work session will precede the meeting at 6:45 p.m.

The $14.2 million bond measure will go before voters in the May 17 election. Ballots will be mailed out at the end of April.

If voters approve the bond, the district also will receive $4 million in state money. The total amount will allow the district to make critically needed repairs at all three schools in the district and build a new high school gym that can double as a community shelter.

During the business session, the board also will discuss policies and the upcoming budget process.

An executive session on discipline of public officers and employees and another on performance evaluation of staff will follow the public meeting.

For more information, call the district office, at 503-852-6980.
