Rising costs and reduced advertising revenue make it impossible to continue our civic journalism at current levels withour added support from local readers and businesses.

Since 2005, a third of America's print newspapers -- more than 3,300 -- have closed. Many more have joined large newspaper chains. But here in Yamhill County, the News-Register has remained fiercely independent, family-owned, and committed to our community since 1928.
