"Zahas and Drabkin pointed out that there is no requirement for affordable housing at the site, as all housing types are needed in the city".

Really?

As quoted from this article:

"While a variety of housing types and price points are outlined as required elements of the project, Zahas and Drabkin pointed out that there is no requirement for affordable housing at the site, as all housing types are needed in the city.

“We’ve focused a lot on, in our conversation today, about the mixed income referencing the lower end of that scale, but the truth is … we are short on housing at all levels and so, we didn’t put specific drawings or specific visioning in here,” Drabkin said.

“Certainly in my mind I can see luxury penthouses here with great views of the surrounding area in addition to other forms of mixed income housing.” (End of article quote)

This is political double speak! The city has been crying for years about the need for "affordable housing", which we DO need. I wonder if there is no requirement for an affordable housing component to improve the odds of selling this property?

There’s an average wait list of 2 years for senior housing. We need senior housing and this is a great spot to do it! Why is the city not putting this as a requirement for this site mayor????

I'm eager to see it filled with luxury penthouses.
Are these so-called visionary leaders deranged?
