Carlton City Hall reconnected

CARLTON -- One phone line has been re-established at Carlton City Hall, which had been without phone service since Sunday afternoon.

The city hall phone system crashed when power went out Sunday. Workers established a temporary connection Monday, although only one line was available.

City workers asked that callers be patient since they could take only one call at a time.

Power blinked off at least twice in Carlton during Sunday's windstorm.

Carlton water bills are due on the 15th of each month. As an alternative to calling in to pay, city officials said, payment can be completed on the city website, www.ci.carlton.or.us.
