Ida Catherine Meierotto Dunn

1911 - 2015

Ida was born December 29, 1911, to John Christopher Meierotto and Margaret Amelia (Ripperger) Meierotto in Houghton, Lee County, Iowa. She was 103 when she passed away peacefully Friday, June 26, 2015, at Brookdale Senior Living in McMinnville, Oregon. Ida was raised and schooled in Houghton and followed her brother, William (Bill) Meierotto and wife Kathryn, to Dallas, Oregon, in the early 1930s, where she met and married Warren Edwin Dunn. Warren was employed as an electrical engineer and his work took them to several states and Saudi Arabia, allowing them to travel and see much of the world. After retiring in the early 1970s, they lived at the Woodburn Estates in Woodburn, Oregon,  enjoying golf and playing cards with friends. To be closer to her family, Ida moved to The Villas in McMinnville after Warren passed away January 9, 2002.
Ida is survived by three nieces, Arlene (Perry) Stubberfield, Jean (Gary) Hantze, and Diane Brooks of Burke, Virginia; and several great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews. Two nephews, Larry Meierotto and LeRoy Meierotto, predeceased her, as well as two brothers, William “Bill” Meierotto and Gervas Meierotto.
