McMinnville would be well served if Mr. Gowell is retained on a permanent basis as an Independent Consultant should he wish to entertain such a proposition.
Mr. Gowell "Volunteers" his precious time on the McMinnville Urban Renewal Advisory Committee (MURAC).

The City of Sheridan is doing O.K. where Mr. Gowell is the City Attorney (except for the snafu concerning the City Manager's soon to run-out employment contract which was not followed very well by the Mayor and City Council).

There doesn't seem to be any complaints from the Yamhill County Affordable Housing Corporation either.

Mr. Gowell has done a fine job there as well, so I am told.
The above is just a small representation as to Mr. Gowell's legal activities.
The City of McMinnville would surely find itself helpless; in the swirling, unforgiveable vortex of a "legal" toilet bowl without representation by Mr. Gowell.

Oh sure, this situation sounds s-o-o-o-o transparent.
I like the analogy of the swirling, unforgiveable vortex of a "legal" toilet bowl. The phrase sings.

To bad the city manager and city planner didn’t go with him out of the office. Time to start over with some people that care about the whole city not just Third Street and Tourism.
