Janet Lynne (Towner) Morris - 1953-2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Janet Lynne (Towner) Morris announces her passing on Sunday, July 22, 2018, at the age of 65 years.
Janet will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 43 years, Wilson Morris Jr.; and their children, Zondre and Quincin, and stepchildren, Tina Queree and Wilson Morris III, whom she considered her very own. She is also survived by her father, Dr. Stanton Towner; her big sisters, Patty Penwill, Sandra Gardner and Judy Simkins; her six grandkids; great-grandchildren; and a number of other loving relatives and close friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Beverly Anne Towner.
Janet was born March 28, 1953, in Pasadena, California. After a few years, her family moved to McMinnville, Oregon, where she was raised. After graduating from McMinnville High School, she attended Oregon State University, where she met the love of her life, Wilson Morris Jr. They traveled together to many states and countries throughout Wilson’s military career before settling back in Oregon, where she finished her Bachelor of Arts degree at Linfield College. Janet’s career led her to work 30 years for the Washington County Circuit Court, where she met countless colleagues whom she adored and respected. Janet loved traveling the world, reading suspense novels and celebrating the holidays with her family, especially Christmas with her infamous giant Christmas tree!
She will always be remembered as a beautiful person whose gentle spirit and kindness touched many lives. We will honor her life at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, August 26, at the Chapel of Macy & Son, 135 N.E. Evans Street, McMinnville, OR 97128. A celebration of life will follow with one of her favorite meals, a Southern BBQ affair at Yamhill Valley Vineyards in McMinnville.
