Monday Morning QB Club meeting Oct. 12

The Monday Morning Quarterback Club will host its first meeting of the fall of 2015 on Monday, Oct. 12, at 7 a.m. at Jake’s Deli, 1208 S.W. Baker St., McMinnville.

Meetings are free to attend and open to the public. Area football coaches will be in attendance and speaking to the audience.

Parks and Rec holds basketball registration

Registration for youth basketball through McMinnville Parks and Recreation takes place from now until Oct. 17.

Cost of participation is $60 for residents and $70 for nonresidents; a fee of $11 will be charged to new players and other players in need of jerseys. Game play will begin either Nov. 9 or No. 16.

Mac swimming holds car wash fundraiser

The McMinnville swimming program is holding a car wash fundraiser this Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of First Federal Savings & Loan, 118 N.E. 3rd Street, McMinnville.

Interested individuals may donate as much as they’d like to the swimming program.
