What a great set of stories in the NR about these incredible organizations along with the Bankes and others who founded it. See Ya Later, and Seeds of Hope have blessed so many families. It’s been enlightening to read of how these organizations take the time to find out more about what each family needs and provide resources tailored to those needs.
It’s also a blessing to see how the Bankes , in their time of great grief, heeded the advice of their pastor and directed their energy to founding this organization. Carmen and Bob are two of the most selfless people I’ve had the pleasure to meet. The Bankes, along with the other founding members : the Buehlers, Johnsons and Harisses have poured themselves into this ministry. What a great team of individuals! As they have expanded the ministry, they have been joined by other terrific people.
I don’t believe the stories in the NR explain the origin of the name of the See Ya Later foundation, but it’s not a secret, and I’d like to share it here. The Banke family are strong Christians. When Scotty was dying, he often told his sad family and friends, “Don’t be sad for me. I’m going to be in heaven with Jesus. Instead of saying ‘goodbye’, let’s just say ‘See Ya Later’”.
There is great comfort for families and friends knowing their loved one will be in heaven with Jesus, and then they will one day reunite.
Thank you to the dedicated people who run both the See Ya Later and Seeds of Hope organizations. You have made a difference in the lives of so many people. It’s a blessing to read about your story here. When you go to heaven, the Lord will no doubt recognize your work on His behalf and say to you “Well done, good and faithful servant”.
God bless you all.
