I was only 6 years old and living just a few blocks from the gym, my parents let me walk down to watch most of the games, my memories I think were from a year or two later of the blond haired Conklin, 6'8" Beeson and the Smithy brothers leading the Wildcat attack with a fast break team that was unbelievable. I do remember a few playoff games with a college "from Washington?" that had two brothers that were excellent "long shot" shooters, they were ahead most of the game but then Conklins free throws at the end and Beeson's rebounding lead Linfield to an "underdog" victory. I say right behind the South Forty and as an 6-8 year old, had the time of my life!
