Quote "Domestic stats suggest a similar correlation. The six states with firearm death rates less than five per 100,000 are among the most restrictive, while the seven with firearm death rates more than 20 per 100,000 are among the least restrictive."

I can find five studies to the one you posted above that states just the opposite. The one above looks just exactly like a CNBC study. Gee! Now, there is a bias free study!!

Gun regulations or restrictions are hamstrung by one major fact -- many families have passed guns down to family members for generations. Most of those 'family guns' have never been registered and most likely won't be soon. And those firearms are not the guns of choice when opting for violence.

The proposal mimics the illegal resident sanctuary that includes most of Oregon -- you can't regulate or restrict what you cannot find.

Airman,
I suspect the source was a study done by the Violence Policy Center based on 2018 statistics. In any event, as reference, you could submit to Viewpoints staff information on the studies showing the opposite.

It doesn't matter if you have guns if you can't buy bullets for them.

Look up Professor John Lott. That aught to keep you busy reading for awhile. Then again, you may already know about him. Many on the left have done whatever they could to try to discredit his studies....

I agree with something Don Dix posted elsewhere. There should not be a "sanctuary anything"!! Laws are laws, and should followed by all.
