I encourage Emily to reach out to me so more of this story can be told.
In 2022, prior to December, I got the DEQ correspondence and published it on social media. These issues have been going on for years and never addressed.
I gave the mayor candidate a copy. She said the issues were outrageous and residents should be receiving weekly updates until the problems were resolved.
Then she was elected and we never hear another word about it.
News Register never discussed the spills and violations, despite being given the information.
All of the council members have known about the problems and have done zero to provide any oversight.
Lafayette leadership has continually played kick the can with public resources.
The sewer violations and the lift station (with problems dating back since, at least, 2007) are just two examples.

Your last name is Flood and you are an expert on a waste water project. That is so cool.
