Towery, your time here in McMinnville was spend - spend -spend and you always continued to cost us more than ever. You were never able to give us a budget where you could live within your means. You increased fees from top to bottom in every way you could. The additional fee in our water and light bill for the city was only done because you could not live within budget. The taxes of $2.00 per thousand for the new fire dept. could have been offset by applying the $1.50 per thousand we were already paying. It would have only cost us .50 per thousand but no, you wanted the $1.50 to keep increasing the city budget. This should have gone to the vote of the people, not you. Or maybe the increase in the city budget was when you drew out your PERS retirement and without Council approval gave yourself a work contract that gave you the double dip salary you were eyeing. Let us not forget the extra money the city paid while you were playing as the president of the city manager's National Board and were absent from your duties here at the city.
Good luck to you and hope the next city you go to knows what they are in for. I pity them.
