Honestly, this seems like a waste of money and I am curious what the price tag was for all these signs. Does anyone really think a sign will change the behavior of a careless smoker, a kid with firecrackers or a thoughtless camper who fails to extinguish their camp fire before heading for home? Seems like the money could be used more wisely.

I know I would be more careful if I see signs warning of current fire conditions. Maybe not everyone would be, but I think a lot would be more conscious of the fire risks.
