Bill B

So, will there be a Republican response printed?

CubFan

Good idea Bill B... I'd love to see a Republican response!

Yes, reclaim patriotism from nationalists that are falsely claiming to be "true patriots".
Trump describes himself as a "nationalist", which is the exact opposite of a patriot.
Patriotism is when love of everyone in your country comes first.
Nationalism is when hate for other people than your own comes first.
Our country's motto is "E pluribus unum" and it's printed on our currency. It means "out of many, we have become one”. We are the only country on the planet founded on an idea instead of DNA, culture, race, or geography. America is a collection of many cultures, religions, and races….and our strength comes from our diversity. Just look at the Olympics if you need to remind yourself how our diversity makes us strong.
Nationalism focuses on devotion to a specific, ethnic, cultural, or “national” group that’s inside of a country. It preaches superiority over other nations or groups and rejects any criticism all while proclaiming total loyalty to one “infallible” leader. Here in America, it’s known as “White Christian Nationalism”. It rejects the idea that “all men are created equal” and its ideology proclaims that America was formed by, and is exclusively for, white Christian men. They believe that everyone else comes from a sh**h*le country and that they should “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.”
That’s what this election is about: Patriotism vs Nationalism. I hope we all reclaim our patriotism in November.
