Food for thought: Kristi Noem is a clone of Ma Anand Sheela (née Sheela Ambalal Patel). For those of you who are too young to remember, Sheela was the Rajneeshpuram insurrectionist.

How many people were there? The organizers counted them. And why not additional protesters on Baker Street and 2nd (northbound traffic)?

It's exciting to see how many of our neighbors were willing and even eager to stand up for our constitution and against the naked corruption of this president. One day of protest is a good start but there is much, much more to do if we want to restore the rule of law.

200,000 people marched against Trump in the "No Kings Marches" 20,000 spectators were in the Washington parade for Trump's birthday.

I'm hearing estimates of about 5 million nationwide for all 1900 or so protests. That makes it the largest single day protest in US history!

According to the spokesperson for “Indivisible” there were in excess of 2100 gatherings across America and estimates for attendance range from 4 to 6 million. Our McMinnville group was well attended - shoulder to shoulder on both sides of Adams for several blocks. We were peaceful, respectful, and passionate. The ages ran the gamut from babies in arms to seniors with walkers. The signs were creative and to the point(s). It was such a comfort to be among fellow citizens who are not going to stand still for the desecration of the Constitution, and the toxic descent into autocracy. The main take-away for me was renewed hope for this nation. United we stand. (And given the events of the past 24 hours, we need to fuel our hope with action.)
