Darrell King - I have similar concerns. To me...one slap is different than chronic abuse. If this mother slapped her daughter and this was the only time, I think its ridiculous to charge her. I raised my son without ever hitting him so I am in the no corporal punishment corner, however one slap is not abuse and the busybody that reported it was out of line unless she was hitting the girl repeatedly. That's my opinion without knowing the whole story for what its worth.
