Well done on the reporting Nicole.

"Smith is arguing nonsensically". I agree, right along with two of our Commissioners. What a tremendous waste of time and money. Meanwhile there are things at the County that need serious attention. But, we get what we voted for. Keep in mind that in Starrett's case, 4 out of 5 voters in this County did not vote for her. Every time it seems that we can't go any farther off the rails, these two do just exactly that. What a joke! And an incredible waste - not to mention that this entire exercise is a serious violation of the Commissioner's oath of office. But, oh well..........

How is wanting Salem to follow its constitution an oath-of-office violation?

So if 4 out of 5 voters did not vote for Starrett how is she commissioner? Oh, you are counting everyone who is registered, not the ones that actually get off the couch to cast a ballot. Got it.

The last time we counted eligible voters instead of the people that actually voted we got Joe Biden. That must be one of the 'common sense' voting laws they talk about.

Doesn't the State of Oregon forbid local Police agencies from notifying and or assisting Federal law enforcement agencies as to the presence of 'Illegal Aliens' in their respective custodies?

Good point there, Dave!
