Jeb --How did the temp get to 119 over 120 years ago when global warming scare wasn't even on the radar? A heat wave is now always considered as proof of a change in the climate -- and yet a prolonged cold spell is brushed off as 'only weather'. When did simple deductive reasoning leave the conversation?

A side note -- this time of year, Portland weather reports begin counting the number of days 90 and over -- 2018 had 30 (record for a year). McMinnville, which has records dating back to the 1880s, had over 50 in 1931 -- but conveniently Portland's records only go back to 1940 or so (the 1930s were considered one of the hottest decades until AGW took over). It's all perspective without the proper info, but isn't it fair to assume 30 isn't the 'real record' for Portland?
