What a bunch of right wing lunatic conspiracy theory garbage. Or so the comments came at me when I posted links to peer reviewed studies proving myocarditis, heart problems, strokes, heart attacks in young healthy people.
Curious though, the article does weave the information together well enough that the reader is not sure which part is coming from the noted doctors or referenced studies or inserted as opinion or stated fact by the NR. For example –
"However, COVID also causes an increased risk of death from heart attack or stroke for months after infection, and those deaths are often not counted as COVID deaths. A study published in Nature Medicine in February of 2022 found that even for people who experienced mild cases, COVID-19 increased the risk for heart failure by 72%, heart attack 63% and stroke 52%, and that the risk remained elevated for a year.
An analysis by The Smidt Heart Institute at Cedars-Sinai published in September 2022 showed that heart attack deaths increased during all COVID surges, and that the greatest increases were seen among people ages 25 to 44."
I have no doubt this is true, but the bit of data they hide is this - what was the vaccine status of the increased heart attacks, strokes, and heart failure patients? I bet they left that out for a reason.
Remember when Pfizer was so proud of its vaccine and sure of its effectiveness it tried to have a gag order put on its research papers for 75 years? Me too, and that should have been a glass of cold water in everyone's faces, but fear porn for the fall booster is coming around. Luckily, a few brave groups took Pfizer to court and got the documents released, 50,000 docs at a time. They are reviewed by volunteer doctors and nurses and posted here. https://dailyclout.io/category/pfizer-reports/
For the love of God do not take another shot! Please!

Seems like speaking with your MD would be the best course of action, rather than taking advice from a public forum.

Unfortunately, primary care physicians are not always up to date on current studies and papers. That said, I would strongly recommend the Novavax vaccine. More effective and safer than the messenger RNA vaccines. Check it out.
sbagwell
I don't know about you, but my primary care physician is board-certified in internal medicine. He is well-versed on the latest scientific studies and recommends the RNA vaccines.
So far, I've been vaccinated six times with Moderna. And I expect to get my seventh as soon as Moderna releases a new update in the fall.
I won't be relying on the word of lay people posting on the internet, nor on the word of ideologues featuring suspect credentials and hidden agendas. That's for sure.

Mr. Bagwell - I'm sure you understand the meaning of "board certified". While valuable, it does not guarantee that a doctor is keeping up with all diseases, vaccines etc. In fact, in my opinion that is impossible. The value of the internet does not rest with lay persons, but in links to studies by professional studies that have been vetted.
sbagwell
Yes, and I think my veteran, board-certified internist is capable of using the Internet to find and evaluate the latest medical findings with vastly more expertise, discernment and wisdom than lay people like you and I, who have not devoted their lives to the practice of medicine.

That's strange. I thought the peak of COVID was March 2020? And SARSCOV2 was a respiratory disease? This couldn't possibly be child-sacrifice. That would be crazy.
MR. S
So I found the article referenced. Vaccines (typically) work by infecting the patient with a small amount of the virus. So their conclusion about the difference between infection and vaccination is very confusing: "https://www.cedars-sinai.org/newsroom/covid-infection-vaccination-linked-to-heart-condition/"
DYOR.
sbagwell
Not true, Mr. S. According to the federal Centers for Disease Control, the ultimate authority on COVID and COVID vaccines:
"COVID-19 vaccines help our bodies develop immunity to the virus that causes COVID-19 without us having to get the illness.
Different COVID-19 vaccines may work in our bodies differently but all provide protection against the virus that causes COVID-19.
None of the COVID-19 vaccines can give you COVID-19."
To summarize, no, the vaccines do not give you a mild case of COVID in order to generate an immune response. They use a harmless replica of COVID's trademark spike protein to produce the immune response.

I lost 2 family members to this disease....several other members now have long term issues after getting sick. Get the shot. Save lives.
