Corporate America via the oligarch driven Business Roundtable came out of the woke closet in 2019. The split with free market America was first announced with the US Chamber denouncing a balanced budget in 1986. The split between Corporate America and the GOP had it's origins in the 1960's. If the young professor had studied unrevised history his narrative would read "the new freedom first GOP is fed up with oligarch, woke Corporate America".
