Carlton Observatory at Evergreen is a unique community resource, featuring interactive opportunities for students, teachers, families and visitors, and partnering with local schools and colleges will bring research ventures, STEM projects and ongoing engagement with the community.

We encourage and inspire students, parents, educators, and visitors to learn, celebrate, and experience science in a whole new way. As our mission states, we are: Fostering a scientifically literate community.

Our doors are open to visitors of all ages. We provide real, hands-on experiences for students, and a place to carry out research and outreach activities. Discoveries, made both near and far, are related to a larger historical and societal context to show the math, logic, beauty, and poetry of the universe. Get your questions answered using imagination, critical thinking skills and resourcefulness you can incorporate into all aspects of your life.
