The horrors of a .5% STR rate. That must be the reason why he have a housing shortage. I’m still waiting for city council to show ideas on how to make up for the lost tax revenue the Gwendolyn would have brought in. Maybe that tax revenue could have been used for affordable housing projects that make up more than .5% of total residential units.

So basically the council just decided to kick the can down the road on this issue. There is no limit on the houses that can be owned by one entity, so these corporations can start coming back in and buying houses up and driving prices up. Doesn't deal with the bad landlords, parking issues in some areas. We need houses not STRs.
