Solid Foundations Tour benefiting Yamhill County CASA
For one day this April, a handful of Newberg’s most distinctive homes will open their doors to the public.
The Solid Foundations Tour, taking place April 18, is a self-guided event featuring a curated selection of homes and historic properties. Guests from across the region are invited to travel between locations at their own pace from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., experiencing a range of architectural styles, restored spaces, and properties with deep local history.
The tour benefits Yamhill County CASA, a nonprofit organization that advocates for children in foster care. CASA volunteers are appointed by a judge to work one-on-one with children who have experienced abuse or neglect, helping ensure their needs are understood and their best interests are represented in court and beyond.
Held during April, recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month, the event raises both awareness and funding to support these efforts. In Yamhill County, many children are navigating the foster care system at any given time, and CASA works to ensure each child has a consistent, caring adult speaking up for them.
By combining a behind-the-scenes look at local architecture with a meaningful cause, the Solid Foundations Tour offers an opportunity to explore Newberg in a new way while making a direct impact in the lives of local children.
Tickets and additional details, including featured properties, are available at solidfoundationstour.org.
