Sheridan council to meet in school gym

The Sheridan City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, April 19, in the Sheridan High School gymnasium. The meeting was originally scheduled to be held in the cafeteria.

There will be a public hearing related to the possible formation of Fire District 22 (Sheridan and Southwestern Polk). That will be followed by the council voting to send a resolution to voters in November. Should the resolution pass in both Polk and Yamhill counties, the district will be formed.

There will be both bleacher and floor seating at the meeting. Social distancing will be observed.
