"... Wyden said, “Chutzpah is what we need now ..."

But chutzpah is the boy who murders his parents then asks the court for mercy because he is an orphan.

Moe

“This week, we’re voting on legislation about whether someone should be deported, and I have said if talking about someone who has committed a violent crime and been convicted of that crime, that would be an appropriate remedy, to deport them ..."

Really?

Punished with a get out of jail card and a free ticket home?

Moe

“If you have charges and you’re a young person involved in something nonviolent and have been charged and not been tried, they’re going to be deported."

But they broke our laws & and are in our country illegally.
Their first act by entering illegally was a crime.
A free ticket home without facing trial is more than fair.

Moe, you do you but man it would be great if you would take a break from the comments. You have bats in the belfry and your crackpot sourcing is the most insane thing I’ve ever seen. If it brings you joy to make all these comments that’s one thing. If it just bringing you a forum to debate bat sh*t crazy ideas because no one wants to debate you at home, just know, you are just an old man screaming at clouds. But I’m sure you will have a clever response to this that is meant to show how brilliant you are.

Moe

“The whole west coast could be a citizen juggernaut on this. We’ve got the fires, the storms ..."

True enough.
But the senator is gaslighting his audience.

Man has indeed made a mess out of our home on this earth. But the fires & storms referred to above are not "nature." They are deliberate attacks on populations, including right here in America. Therefore, I call on Sen. Wyden to gather his courage, and address the geoengineering onslaught going on in our skies:

Otis

Bleep,
he's not well. It's best to leave him be.

Troll alert- probably best not to feed him/ her.

This guy is a reason we need term limits. just another smooth talker from Washington DC. That’s very wealthy but he acts like he’s here for you. Just a quick financial search on the Internet puts him at $19.5 million. It also showed that he is actively trading around $12 million. Not to mention his wife and her details she’s very wealthy heir of a famous bookstore in New York City. Just another quick search his wife’s townhome in New York City in Saint Gaudans playground was valued at 7.5 million. And I’m sure the administration pays for his flight back-and-forth to Oregon which he owns another house in Portland and don’t forget the Washington DC apartment. Readers can do your own research, but you get the idea. The guy is loaded. His wife is loaded, but he’s here for Oregon.NOT! I feel bad for those hundred people that wasted time listening to his voice. He did help get us a new animal crossing over I-5 for wildlife in southern Oregon. I wish those hundred people would’ve instead went to coffee and breakfast and spend money in McMinnville and Yamhill County to help local business grow because he’s not.

You don’t like him because he’s wealthy?
If that’s your criteria then you might want to check out the 13 billionaires in line for cabinet positions!
That said, I am also a proponent of term limits. Political positions should not be career paths.

Ron

Thanks for reading tagup. Nowhere did I comment I did not like the man. I’ve never met him. Talked to him or shook his hand. He’s probably a nice guy. You’re trying to go a political on me, the election is over and that’s that. I won’t go there with you. But thanks anyway for at least acknowledging term limits.I also believe most all politicians are wealthy.
Just kind of sad they won’t quit taking the government pay check and perks. Maybe that money should go back to the people they represent.
Thank you.

Seems like our Senator's goal is to fight the new administration in everyway he can. Not a fan.

Hm. I posted the first comment on this article right after I read it and it is gone? Oh well: the gist of it was that Project 2025 has repeatedly been spoken of as not connected to Trump, but another organization. Second, I think I mentioned that it seems more fair to me to let Community Notes on social media mediate facts from fiction rather than let the government become the arbiters of truth, telling social media what to censor or ban. We need term limits, and Wyden has outlived his time.

Ron

Exactly I guess that’s what I was trying to say sorry for taking too much space. Thank you.
