Keep it simple.

Open space, a few picnic tables, a couple of covered areas, rest rooms.

No bike tracks.

NJINILNCCAOR - So, like Lower City Park? That has been used well...

So why is Travel Oregon so interested in the park?

Why not use the energy and funds to clean up and revamp the existing parks that are worn out, have plywood slapped up when something breaks instead of fixing it, and graffiti?
Discovery Meadows also has huge areas that are untouched most of the time that could have a pump track added.

Thank you Noelle Amaya and Mayor Morris for clarifying what this grant means.

However, I’m a little perplexed.

Referring to the June 2-, 2025 article in the News-Register “Tree plan growing roots”:
The opening line of the article stated “The city of McMinnville is getting serious about tree preservation”.

It would seem to me that development of a bike skills course/pump track would be in direct opposition to the city’s plan to protect tree groves and natural resources from people and development, as stated in the referenced June 2 article.

Certainly Cycle Yamhill County and Visit McMinnville can find a more suitable location for the bike track that will leave Quarry Park the undisturbed, quiet neighborhood gem it is right now!
