Pride Street Fair planned Sunday

The event, which celebrates diversity, is open to everyone. Admission is free.

Wine Country Pride hosts events designed to celebrate “the queer community while connecting all people through education and economic activity,” according to its mission statement. In addition to the annual street fair, WCP hosts several events during June, Pride Month, along with drag shows, a winter ball and other activities.

The nonprofit gives scholarships to graduating seniors, provides books for area libraries and does other charitable work.

The schedule for Sunday’s Street Fair includes a parade for children and pets that will start at 1 p.m. and story time at 2 p.m.

At 3 p.m., Friends and Family Trivia will give attendees a chance for friendly competition.

Throughout the afternoon, vendors will offer crafts and other items. Food trucks will sell meals and snacks. A bounce house and other activities will be included a kids’ zone.

Beer and wine will be available for purchase, with proceeds going to Wine Country Pride scholarships and activities.
