The owners of the properties could easily resolve the problem by renting the dilapidated buildings out for marijuana grows and canaboid extraction operations. Then when a grow room catches fire or canaboid extraction operation has a butane hash oil explosion, the fire department will just let the buildings burn to avoid contaminating their equipment.
