Thank you for this sobering and poignant piece. McMinnville needs more affordable housing options - even with two incomes, rent is so steep and prices seem to hike every year. I am thankful that the City recognizes it as a priority and I hope that recognition from our community turns into action. Without affordable homes, many will be priced out of this beautiful community.

This is disturbing...more than half of McMinnville residents are struggling to pay for housing.

It’s not just housing. Costs are rising for groceries, utilities, taxes, childcare, gas, insurance, medical... everything has gone up. Credit card debt has skyrocketed.

Something has to give.
