“We’re looking for some help with law enforcement,” Phillips said. “I talked with Sheriff (Sam) Elliott and we’re still waiting to figure it out what we want to do, but I think we’ll probably figure it out at our (Tuesday) meeting,” Phillips said.

Hopefully the N-R will report on the Tuesday meeting.
Meanwhile, the statute of limitations clock is ticking ...

Not sure the “ break in” should be the focus here. When invoices & billing documents disappear, it indicates ( to me) an attempt to cover something up….. seems like an independent audit of district finances should be initiated using people from outside the district.

There are many types/levels of audits, some done in house. My point was a review independent from the district.
