ODOT presents virtual town hall for STIP projects

The online open house includes an interactive map to view proposed projects.

Highlighted projects in Yamhill County include:

-- Design completion for a future roundabout at the intersection of Highway 18 and Lafayette Highway. The project affects Ash Road as well. It is projected to begin next year. There is not yet funding established for construction, which is estimated to be from 2029 to 2031.

-- Bicycle and pedestrian safety improvements at the intersections of Highway 99W and Keck Drive in McMinnville, and 99W and Brutscher Street in Newberg. They are two of 12 intersections throughout the Willamette Valley connected to the project.

Other projects included in the draft are:

-- Repaving about two miles of Highway 18 interchanges and connector routes in southwest McMinnville.

-- Intersections improvements to Highway 219 in Newberg around North Everest Road.

-- Warning sign upgrades at the intersection of 219 and Northeast Bell Road in Newberg.

-- Replacing the bridge over Ash Swale on Patty Lane south of Amity.

-- Replacing illumination components on Highway 18 at and around the Bridge Street interchanges.

-- A bridge replacement over the North Yamhill River on Old Railroad Grade west of Yamhill.

-- Sidewalk construction on Highway 47 at the Yamhill and Washington county line, between Northwest Olson and Matteson roads in Gaston.

The online open house can be accessed here and will be available through March 20. Comments submitted to ODOT will be included in the public record and may be used to make adjustments as design begins on projects. The record will go to the Oregon Transportation Commission before they approve the final STIP in June.
