Nicci Stokes 1969 - 2026
Nicci Stokes passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2026, at her son Justin’s home in Pueblo, Colorado. In true Nicci fashion, it happened suddenly and without warning, leaving everyone who loved her wishing for just a little more time.
Nicci was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Bill and Joava Good. She grew up alongside her older brother, Bret, and younger sister, Jenny, surrounded by family and love that remained an important part of her life throughout the years.
As a young woman, Nicci married and welcomed her first son, Justin. She later married Devin Stokes, and together they had two more children, Chloe and Lucas. Her children became the center of her world, and she was incredibly proud of the people they grew to be.
Nicci was truly larger than life. She was an accomplished chef, restaurant owner, and travel agent who loved good food, travel, adventure, and bringing people together. Through her restaurant and her many connections, she became a true pillar of her community. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and could turn a room full of strangers into a gathering of friends.
She lived loudly, loved fiercely, and never did anything halfway. Some of her most cherished memories were made with her family and friends. Her precious granddaughter brought her tremendous joy, and she was especially excited about the new grandbaby arriving in November.
Nicci is survived by her parents, Bill and Joava Good; her children, Justin, Chloe, and Lucas, her brother, Bret (Lori) Good, her sister, Jenny (Frantz) Widmaier; two nieces and two nephews; her beloved granddaughter, Winona, and many other family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Her mother, Joava, always said, “Nicci never met a stranger she didn’t love.” It was simply who she was. She welcomed people with an open heart and made an impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and remembered through the stories, laughter, friendships, and memories she left behind. Please join Nicci’s family and friends as we come together to celebrate her life, share memories, and honor the woman who meant so much to so many.
Please join us for a celebration of Nicci's life at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Kelty Estate Bed & Breakfast, 675 Third Street, Lafayette, Oregon.
