I hope the plan includes adding restrooms and more amenities to the West Hills Park. It has been in place for 25 years and still does not have anything but a play structure, a few swings and 3 or 4 benches. There is a drinking fountain, which means it has a water source, so there is no reason it could not have restrooms. It is surrounded by houses and apartments and more are being added every year, yet it has not been upgraded.

Then maybe linear park can be taken care of properly, especially segments on both sides of Filbert Street. Homeless live in the dense undergrowth. Control the rats—I have seen them cross Filbert Street and jump onto the curb.

Reducing the minimum standard.

Slippery slope.

Hope this does not become normal operating procedure.
