A quick search of the News Register archives reveals 46 uses of the word youngster and youngsters in the past 52 weeks. Further online searching indicates the usage of this word surged around 1950 and has been in decline ever since. I challenge the News Register writers to get more creative. Perhaps try substituting with the words whippersnapper, stripling, lad, or lass.
